Yes! GNOTRC celebrates 25 Years in 2018!The Greater New Orleans Therapeutic Riding Center is celebrating our 25 years as a non-profit organization providing an affordable, fun and therapeutic experience for individuals with physical, emotional and learning disabilities. -The program started in 1993 with three riders and two horses. Now, approximately 40 students per month ride one of 8 therapy horses. GNOTRC still charges the same $25 fee for riders to participate, and doesn't turn away those who cannot afford the fee. The cost of the class is closer to $80, considering the costs of feed, hay, veterinary care, farrier. To Keep our fees at $25 ......we are kicking off our " 25 for 25 Fundraising Campaign ". 25,000 Dollars in Donations to celebrate our 25 years.
